My front bumper has some gashes in it where a previous owner must have run into someone else’s front plate and I figured it’s cheaper and easier to get a vinyl racing stripe than it is to body fill and blend the paint on a metallic bumper. To that end I’m thinking of a stripe like this that is metallic black on the grey body, and body-colored grey on the metallic black hardtop and windshield frame for an inverted sort of look. A double-stripe is probably better looking but wouldn’t cover the bumper damage properly, lol. Ignore the hash marks, they’ll be going away.
Will probably do a badge delete as well. NBs are uncommon enough around here Average Joe will probably have no idea it’s a Mazda.

Since you’re asking, I’d leave the hardtop as-is.
I think what you did tothe windshield and body look good, though.
Also, if you go a little wider on the stripe, the hash marks might work pretty well..
And finally, adding a nice thin pinstripe to each side of the racing stripe might make it look more finished. Just a thought.

I like it if you ditch the fender hashes

If it wasn’t for the bumper knicks I’d say offset it to the left or right a bit.

LS9 swap. No, wait. That’s not gonna work.
Twin turbo LS9 swap. There, that’s better.

Reason for it being in the center is that’s where the damage to my front bumper is, lol.
EDIT: I’m an idiot I thought you were referring to the fender stripes.

I’m trying to decide between metallic black (expensive) or flat black (cheap) for the stripes. Or doing twin stripes which kinda defeat the purpose since they won’t cover my front bumper damage. Bleh.

I’m considering blue pinstripes to either side as well as blue brake calipers. The damn car needs some color. I’ll probably leave the hardtop alone just because it’s easier, lol

I think to pull it off it’ll need some bigger wider wheels, and meaty tires. Miatas can’t pull off any kind of racer look on stock skinny tires. The spoiler is hot tho.
Also if you’re going to do the black roof, then I’d do black mirrors too.

The picture was Kinja’d at first. I thought he meant the Acura wheels that are on the car in the original post.
